FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Realtors Community Outreach

April 23, 2007 - West Babylon, NY - In response to an article that appeared in Newsday on March 15th which reported the Bay Shore/Brightwaters Little League Association had recently lost some of its funding and as a result, might have to cancel their 2007 Baseball Season, Long Island Realtors, through the efforts of the "We're More Than Realtors…" (WMTR) Public Relations Campaign, got involved and made a donation to the organization to insure the season would start as scheduled on April 21st.

On a beautiful sunny Saturday in April, LIBOR President, Linda Bonarelli and LIBOR Suffolk Vice President, Liz English, proudly joined Bay Shore-Brightwaters Little League Officials Gary and Jerry Kelinfelder at the Bay Shore ball field for the opening day ceremony. Local politicians including State Senator Owen Johnson, Islip Supervisor Phil Dolan, and Suffolk County Treasurer Angie Carpenter, were also in attendance to say a few words and to give their best wishes to the players and their families for a great season.

A WMTR banner is being displayed at the ball field for the 2007 season as a sign of the leagues gratitude to LIBOR for its generosity and community spirit. Pictured here on opening day are: LIBOR President, Linda Bonarelli (right side of banner) and State Senator Owen Johnson (left side) who are joined by LIBOR Suffolk VP, Liz English (3rd from the right - back row) Suffolk County Treasurer, Angie Carpenter (3rd from left front row), Bay Shore-Brightwaters Little League Treasurer, Jerry Kleinfelder, (far left) and Islip Town Supervisor, Phil Dolan (2nd from left).
