Mohsen Zandieh Installed as 2008
Long Island Board of REALTORS® President

NY - The Long Island Board
of REALTORS® Inc. (LIBOR) has named Mohsen Zandieh as the 2008
Board President. Mohsen was installed into office by New York State Assemblyman
Charles Lavine, during the recent Installation Gala held at the Crest
Hollow Country Club.
Mohsen began his real estate profession in 1981, starting at Helmsley
Spear, moving on to property management with ELK Investment Corporation,
then as the general manager of The Johanson Organization. Subsequently,
Mohsen opened his office in 1984, Arash Real Estate and Management Company,
which continues to serve Northeast Queens and Great Neck.
Mohsen joined the Board in 1987 and has served both LIBOR and the Multiple
Listing Service of Long Island™ (MLSLI). He respectfully
served as MLS Secretary in 2003 before becoming MLS Queens Vice President
in 2004 and continued to serve for four years. He also served as
LIBOR Secretary in 2003 and Treasurer in 2004 and 2005. Mohsen
has also served on numerous committees for LIBOR and MLS as well as a
Director for the New York Association of REALTORS® (NYSAR).
Throughout the years Mohsen has received many honorable awards and citations,
such as Community Leadership Award and the Patriot Award from the Little
Neck/Douglaston Parade Association, LIBOR Community Service Award, Honary
Recognition from NYS Senate and Special Recognition from NYS Legislative
Assembly.
Mohsen obtained his undergraduate degree from Tehran University and
his Masters in Sociology from New York University. As a graduate
student at NYU, he was a member of a research project with NYU, Columbia
University and the City of New York, which relocated S.R.O. residents
to more appropriate housing accommodations. He completed his PhD
course work in Sociology at NYU.
Mohsen has been married 26 years and has two grown sons; he resides
in Great Neck.
Joining Zandieh on the 2008 LIBOR Executive Committee are: President-Elect,
Buddy Hoosein; Vice President Nassau, Kathy Engel; Vice President of
Suffolk, Mary Alice Ruppert; Vice President Queens, Moses Seuram; Treasurer,
Donald Scanlon and Secretary, Liz English.
