About Colete D Jones

I am a native Bronxite who spent my youth studying theatre. Determined to become an actress, I attended the Theatre Arts Production Company middle school and Talent Unlimited High School. I was introduced to real estate by a classmate while attending SUNY New Paltz majoring in both African American Studies and Radio/Television Production. Fascinated by the idea of meeting all types of people and being my own boss, I spent the summer of 2006 obtaining my Real Estate Salesperson License. As a licensed professional, I began working as an apartment rental agent in Brooklyn, New York.  On graduation day I took off my heels, put on my favorite pair of Converse, packed a U-Haul, and moved to Atlanta, GA. Like most members of the 2008 graduate class, with two BA’s and a real estate license, I ended up working as a barista. Being a millennial, I used my networking skills at the drive-through, eventually landing me my first property management position. After two exciting years in the Atlanta property management industry, my desire to explore, love of change, and spontaneity lead me to Philadelphia, PA. I spent my time in Philly enjoying its arts and culture scene while becoming a student housing professional.  A true New Yorker may live other places for some time but will always return to the Big Apple. New York is in my blood. New York is home. After a few years on south street, at the King of Prussia Mall and eating cheese-steaks, I was ready for a slice of pizza, a walk in Central Park, and a glimpse of the NYC skyline, so I packed my bags and came home.  Upon returning to NY I immediately began working as a Real Estate Salesperson in Brooklyn. My office was in DUMBO however my areas of focus were Park Slope, Sunset Park, Bay Ridge and Red Hook. I love walkable
