Appraisers: Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) COMPETENCY RULE an appraiser must be competent to perform the appraisal assignment. Staying current on the methods.
Standard Rule 1-1 "(a) be aware of, understand, and correctly employ those recognized methods and techniques that are necessary to produce a credible appraisal."
Salespersons/Brokers: Article 12a section 440-(a) "competency to transact the business of real estate broker in such a manner as to safeguard the interests of the public."

If the class is approved for NYS CE: LIBOR strictly follows Section 176.6 of the NYS License Law – Article 12A. Students are only permitted to miss 10% of classroom time. If more than 10% of class time is missed for any reason, NYS continuing education credits will not be issued. All New York licensing classes follow the same law for permissible time missed.
A cancellation 10 or more days before a class is subject to a $25 fee. No refund is available for a cancellation made within 10 days of class or for a no-show.
