On April 26, NAR sent a letter to the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) urging for the elimination of recently announced increases in upfront fees by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac known as loan level pricing adjustments (LLPAs). The pending pricing change is set to go into effect on May 1, 2023. Specifically, NAR raised concerns with fee increases on borrowers who make down payments of 5%-25% and with credit scores greater than 680. Learn more.
