Long Island Board of REALTORS® (LIBOR) is proud to announce that Patrick Fife, General Counsel, has been awarded the REALTOR® Association Certified Executive (RCE) designation by National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). This esteemed recognition honors REALTOR® association executives who have demonstrated exceptional commitment, professionalism, and leadership in the real estate industry.
Fife joins an elite group of more than 550 REALTOR® association executives nationwide who have achieved this mark of excellence. Local and state association executives who hold the RCE designation represent REALTORS® in 48 states and U.S. territories.
“I am very proud to be receiving the RCE designation. It’s an honor to join a distinguished group of leaders who are committed to advancing our industry and raising the bar for professionalism and service,” said Fife.
The path to earning the RCE designation is both selective and rigorous. Applicants must first qualify through a point-based system that evaluates experience and achievements across multiple areas — including association management, education and professional development, service to the REALTOR® organization, community and professional involvement, and honors and awards. Only those who meet the eligibility threshold are invited to sit for a comprehensive exam that tests their mastery of association operations, governance, law, and member services. To maintain the designation, RCEs must also complete a recertification process every four years, ensuring their continued commitment to excellence.
“Patrick’s achievement reflects his extensive expertise, integrity, and dedication to the REALTOR® community,” said Doreen Spagnuolo, CEO of LIBOR. “He continues to be a trusted leader and invaluable resource to our members and staff, and we are thrilled to celebrate this well-deserved recognition.”
Fife has served as LIBOR’s General Counsel since 2023, after joining the association’s legal team as Associate General Counsel in 2020. He will be presented with an award plaque by representatives of New York State Association of REALTORS® (NYSAR) at an upcoming event.
