Among the esteemed guests was North Hempstead council member, Christine Liu, who greeted LIBOR members and offered words of encouragement and support for the Association’s diversity initiatives.

The event witnessed a remarkable turnout, indicative of the enthusiasm of the membership for cultural inclusivity. Attendees were treated to an array of delectable food offerings, adding to the festive atmosphere, and creating memorable moments for all.

As a token of good fortune and prosperity, those in attendance received traditional red envelopes filled with chocolate coins, symbolizing a joyful and prosperous start to the new lunar year.

"We are thrilled to have hosted our inaugural Lunar New Year Reception in collaboration with our Global and DEI Committees," said Kevin Leatherman, President of LIBOR. "This event exemplifies LIBOR's commitment to embracing diversity and fostering cultural understanding within our communities.”
