Shaan Khan was installed as the 2026 President of Long Island Board of REALTORS® (LIBOR) during the association’s Installation and Awards Event on Jan. 8, 2026, at Jericho Terrace in Mineola, N.Y. The event also marked the installation of LIBOR’s Executive Officers and Board of Directors for the year ahead.
A Licensed Broker and owner of RK Realty Group in Melville, Khan is the 85th President of LIBOR, New York’s largest local REALTOR® trade association representing more than 25,000 real estate professionals across Queens, Nassau and Suffolk counties. He is joined on LIBOR’s 2026 Executive Committee by Yvette Clark Watkins, President Elect, Renée Hughes, Secretary/Treasurer, and Immediate Past President Mark Donnelly.

Since joining LIBOR’s Board of Directors in 2020, Khan has played a key role in guiding the association’s strategic direction, including helping lead the 2023-2024 Strategic Plan and chairing its Bylaws Committee. A recognized industry leader, Khan is a recipient of the REALTOR® Salesperson of the Year Award and the Young Professionals Network “Visionary” Award. A Certified Residential Specialist and Real Estate Instructor, he is committed to raising professional standards and strengthening ethical practice. He is also a Director at the state and national levels, where he advocates for fair housing and contributes to housing finance policy discussions focused on affordability.

At the event, LIBOR also recognized its 2025 REALTOR® Award recipients, honoring members and partners for outstanding professionalism, leadership, and community service. Inaugurated this year, REALTOR® of the Year – the association’s highest honor – was awarded to past president Gina Marie Bettenhauser for her integrity, ethical leadership, and professional excellence. Additional honorees included Flor Cawley as REALTOR® Affiliate of the Year; Richie Krug Jr., recipient of the REALTOR® Spirit Award for his community volunteerism; and Susan Helsinger, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award for more than 30 years of distinguished service to the real estate industry and her community.
