Telemarketing Bill Advances in Assembly Committee

May 31, 2023

On Tuesday, NYSAR-supported legislation (A.6680/S.412) that would provide for a technical amendment to a current law allowing for legitimate telemarketing business activities during declared States of Emergency passed unanimously through the Assembly Consumer Affairs and Protection Committee and has been referred to the Rules Committee. Assemblymember Amy Paulin (Westchester), who sponsors the bill in the Assembly, has strongly advocated this important issue. NYSAR is continuing to work with state lawmakers to advance this priority bill during the final days of the legislative session.
