“NY1 has learned that Mayor Eric Adams is considering making changes to the City’s housing voucher program that would allow them to be used statewide instead of only in the five boroughs,” a policy change being made to help relieve both the City’s overwhelmed shelter system and address the related surge in asylum seekers being bused to New York by the governors of Texas and Florida.
