State Senate: Nassau Legislator Joins Primary to Replace Kevin Thomas

Siela Bynoe, a Westbury Democrat, has announced she will challenge NYS Assemblymember Taylor Darling (D-Hempstead) in the 2024 primary to replace Kevin Thomas. Bynoe is a former member of the Westbury School Board and served as Executive Director of the Town of Huntington’s Housing Authority. Other candidates from both parties are likely to declare in the coming month. The 6^th Senate District is the most Democratic-friendly on Long Island – including the communities of Freeport, Baldwin, Oceanside, Rockville Centre, Lakeview, West Hempstead, Garden City, Mineola, Carle Place, Roosevelt, Uniondale, Hempstead, and Westbury.
