Dec 13, 2023

Mayor Eric Adams has signed into law the “Fair Housing Framework” legislation introduced by City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams (D-Jamaica, Richmond Hill, South Ozone Park). Mayor Adams heralded the new law as “a critical tool in the administration’s continued efforts to combat the housing and affordability crisis, as well as to address systemic inequities in housing production.”  The bill passed the New York City Council unanimously last month. “My Fair Housing Framework legislation will help create a plan that is a foundation for building and preserving housing, prioritizing affordability, and improving access to neighborhood investments and resources,” said Speaker Adams.
