"It’s just four weeks until primary day and Public Advocate Jumaane Williams is trying to tip the scales away from frontrunner Andrew Cuomo. Although he had already backed City Comptroller Brad Lander for mayor, in a nod to ranked-choice voting, Williams also endorsed City Council Speaker Adrienne Adams," reported NY1.
"A consistent leader in the polls, Cuomo unites mayoral contenders to call for excluding the former governor from their rank choice ballot. A Super PAC and groups like the Working Families Party are calling on voters to 'DREAM' — an acronym meaning: 'Don’t Rank Evil Andrew Cuomo.'"
So far, Adrienne Adams and Brad Lander have been tied to third in the polls, with late momentum favoring Speaker Adams of Southeast Queens.
