May 1, 2024

Last week, LIBOR CEO Doreen Spagnuolo, President Kevin Leatherman, President-Elect Mark Donnelly, Secretary/Treasurer Shaan Khan, Past-President Gina Marie Bettenhauser, and members of the Nassau/Suffolk Govt. Affairs Committee - led by Chair Judy Cangemi and Vice Chair Paige Ryan, joined Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine to watch him sign a proclamation declaring April “Fair Housing Month.” Before the signing, the former Brookhaven Town Supervisor, Suffolk County Clerk, County Legislator, and Town Housing Commissioner talked with us about his decades of policy experience while candidly addressing the need to make government more efficient and up-to-date with changing times.  A long-standing REALTOR® Champion, County Executive Romaine made clear his commitment to upgrading Suffolk’s sewer infrastructure to allow for expanded housing opportunities without damaging our local environmental assets or worsening ongoing street traffic issues.
